One thing I know, my job (farrier) will never be replaced. Another thing I do know - I get calls all the time from customers who's smart phone has gone south and needs to know their next appointment. Fortunately I keep an old fashion calendar (called paper, hard copy). Electronics are great, but what happens when they go south?
2003 I was the V Corps Rear CP G3 SGM in Camp Virginia. It was so hot all the electronics began to break down. Because I was old school, I had also demanded my G3 section keep a map(real one) current. We were on top of it because when electrons failed, I immediately had our real map pulled out and set so the entire TOC could see it.
Electrons are great, but don't forget where you come from.

I'd have to disagree with a couple. Analog clock/watches haven't gone anywhere and probably won't since they are way more stylish than a digital version. Also on a street outside the Pearl Harbor Exchange is a long column of cars with "For Sale" signs on them.
