I wish that my voice was loud enough, that enough people were paying attention to me, for the press to come crying for me to "dial back" my criticism of them. No one, to my knowledge, has been more critical of the Fourth Estate. I have frequently accused them of becoming a Fifth Column for the Progressive Movement, spewing Leftist propaganda instead of reporting the news. I have frequently cited my belief that "journalists" (I put that in quotes because they are an insult to real journalists of an earlier time) modern "journalists" are indoctrinated in America's schools and colleges and seek only to influence public opinion by supporting the Leftist narrative of events while suppressing facts that don't support it.

I do not think I could agree with you more, without appearing either gay or a total suck up...or both. The one good thing, to me, is that the Establishment media has so exposed their bias that they really no longer are even trying to hide it?

Great article actually discussing the negative bias directed at the Trump campaign from the media. They trash him, he lashed out... does the media have a responsibility to report or provide their personal opinion?

SSG Michael Hartsfield - I read an interesting article a few weeks ago that described what you are talking about. Around the time that media started to go entertainment on us the internet kicked off and suddenly information was available at unprecedented levels. These guys didn't need staffs of writers, library access and a major news network to put them on TV - they could write about the points of interest they felt the news media was ignoring. This further polarized the readership, further emboldening the media to go sensational and the bloggers to keep doing what they're doing. It's a self licking ice cream cone.

It's a chump move by CNN and Blitzer. You're bringing her on to "plead" for him to stop saying bad words about you, but you can on him? If I were Trump the only reply from her would be read the tweet I sent this morning saying "Kiss My Ass". But I'm more concerned when you mentioned "modern "journalists" are indoctrinated in America's schools and colleges and seek only to influence public opinion by supporting the Leftist narrative of events while suppressing facts that don't support it" So what about Fox, Briehart, Red State, Blaze, and many other conservative sites (to include some black GOP supporters) that clearly are in no way "indoctrinated" to promote the lefts views as correct let alone feasible?

I'm pretty sure the OP's implied context for "journalists" is what we consider to be traditional news sources -- TV and newspapers. The vast majority of them tilt decidedly left.

MAJ Charles Blake - Sir, irregardless, the sites and cable tv shows are there, so with that I agree with you they are some wack job sites (esp the Blaze) and Occupy Democrats. But to say all of one side is crazier than the other is stretching the truth and to use indoct in school as a "measure" to show how far they've move left, the only one I can think of is Hannity being he's gone so far past anyone I think he's going to need his own cartagory of silliness.

SSG Warren Swan - could be. I think we are basically saying the same thing except that in Hannity's case he feely admits he's not a journalist. He's a talk show host, I guess similar to the View or the Five. I'm not sure the comparison is accurate because I don't watch or listen to any of them but I use the point to say that most, if not all of journalism is dead. I don't know what they teach in schools, I took chemistry, biology and physics in college - it's hard to politicize those topics, but from what I see of people who call themselves "reporters", they're just propagandists. Journalism requires an attempt at neutrality and that is what is missing which drives the left and right wing folks to provide their own news/entertainment. my .02
