Seriously though, this is a good vid to give you an idea of how pilots are trained. These kids make mistakes -- forget to drop their hook, too much power, too little...etc. But that's why they're training, and at the end of the day, they all go home.

I've been on the deck with Student aviators coming aboard. You best keep your head on a swivel or you will get your butt ran over.

Probably too busy to be scared. I never got that far in flight training. Then, again, I was training as a Naval Flight Officer, so I would have had to trust some other idiot to do that while I watched and clung to the command ejection handle. No thanks. Fear for pilots generally comes later.
