That's what people don't get. The BLM movement isn't and wasn't a radical movement. It was created to address the overwhelming deaths at the hands of police, many of which were unarmed or in police custody. BLUF, many people don't know what the BLM movement is about but it's easier for some just to dismiss it rather than find out why it's here.
