This is funny to me. How do you lose 4,000 soldiers? Easy! Wait fifteen years before you try to find them. LOL
The supposedly missing soldiers are likely to have retired, changed addresses, moved to Guard units in other states or transferred to the active-duty Army.
The California National Guard can’t locate more than 4,000 of the 9,700 soldiers caught up in the military enlistment bonus scandal that has rocked one of the nation’s largest Guard organizations, according to its commander.
The supposedly missing soldiers are likely to have retired, changed addresses, moved to Guard units in other states or transferred to the active-duty Army.

TSgt Joe C., It looks like there would be a statuette of limitations about this. How could it be proved the troops knew they didn't deserve the bonus? In my mind, all of this is on the California National Guard, and the Pentagon. It's been way too many years for them to have to pay back the money.

never send the original document to OTAG - they will lose it. the documents that I had to send multiple times - and the time I was being hit for a bill for another Jensen with different 1st and Middle name.
