I was certified in 1974 in Panama. At the time the instructor, Mr. Fred Clark, was a retired CSM who homesteaded. Years later I was an article in Soldier's Magazine about him - he was retiring from MWR and I believe he was 80 or 05 at the time. I found SCUBA to be a stress reliever; you can't be stressed under water seeing the beauty of the sea!
