Ok. I voted for Trump, but I do not want to be raked over the coals because of it. This an article, just like any other article I post from taskandpurpose. This is the taskandpurpose opinion. Not mine, even though I may agree with some of them.

What if he really can't build that wall (and get Mexico to pay for it), or deport the masses of Muslims, or get companies to bring back manufacturing (employing higher wage US workers), etc.? What happens then? Being politically incorrect may be okay for the campaign - so what will he do now that he's elected - I expect the same while he's in office. Don't we deserve that?

I can say, having worked in NATO HQ on the military planning staff, that whenever the US decides to mobilize or place a carrier off the coast of a country, that is power. That said, I understand your point of view. I just think we haven't lost much of our greatness - we just don't advertise it like we used to.

You sholdn't qualify your remarks with 'don't crucify me for voting for...' whomever. You voted and you need to acknowledge that publicly, slings and arrows that may come notwithstanding.
I don't want to oversimplify this, but Trump needed to run the table....and he did. Even objective networks were fairly convinced it would take a miracle for him prevail. On that note, this was Hillary's election to lose...and she lost it. Her campaigning fell off the last few months, I think due to her health, she didn't seal the deal with Joe Average as regards a mandate and she came across, particularly in the debates, as an ellocuting, pretentious bitch.
Not sure Comey was quite the game changer as has been implied. The FBI was definately a factor, but I don't know that it occurred early enough in the run-up to Election Day to be truly decisive. Even if this is so, she has only herself to blame, along with, perhaps, overeager and overly optimistic pollsters who are probably going to be cashiered by the DNC and the networks (or is that redudant?) if they haven't been already.

SGT (Join to see) - I'm certainly not wired into the inner workings of the DNC/Hillary Inc. conglomeration, but I strongly suspect the donors, favor-seekers and other minions will have to eat it. If you're not part of Hillary's inner circle, or even if you are, you'll be hung out to dry and sacrificed at the alter of their exalted image sooner or later. That's why I've been asking elsewhere on social media, somewhat in jest, who's going to get whacked first? Weiner, Huma, Comey, Wasserman or all of the above?
I think Karl Rove broke it down pretty succinctly on TV yesterday. For campaign expenses, Trump's votes cost him (assets, time, resources, et al) about $4.50 each. He got a TON of free publicity, again, at the expense of the mass media, Rove estimated a few BILLION dollars' worth. Hillary spent a ton of money, way more than Trump ever did, and still came up short. She didn't seal the deal, and she lost the election, but if you think those people are going to get their money back, I've got a bridge for you in Brooklyn.

SGT Gregory Lawritson - I've long questioned her physical and psychological health. In the debates, she sounded overrehearsed and she looked like she'd taken happy pills or something just before coming on the air. Neither she nor Bill are spring chickens any more. She's pushing 70 and I think he's a bit older. It begs the question what the stresses of the job would've done to her already questionable health.

CPO Greg Frazho - That's what I thought would happen with the donations. I guess that's the risk they take by donating. I'm so happy Trump doesn't have anyone to answer to about special interests or donations. I though him flying to D.C. in his own plane this morning was classy as hell. I couldn't tell if he was tired or not interested in what Obama had to say.

Well, now he has the American people to answer to, as he must've known he someday would. If there was any lingering doubt, it's gone now. They've already started their turnover and their RIP/TOA, if you will, is in January. The crux of the matter is this: the American people are going to give him a grace period, but not much of one. A few months if he's lucky. They expect results and he'd better be able to deliver. This ain't reality television, this ain't a corporate aquistion or a merger. This is the real thing. With a favorable majority in the House and a slight majority in the Senate, it could bode well for him.

Wouldn't dream of doing that to you SGT (Join to see). If I can make a broad assumption, I feel the sentiment is that Trump has made a lot of bumper sticker, easy to hum and dance to campaign promises and now, he's elected and is going to have to make good on them. I feel that many people that voted for Trump (as opposed to voting against Hillary) think that he should and/or will make good on those promises and will accept nothing more than complete follow-thru. What's going to happen if he can't do it?

SSG Michael Hartsfield - If he doesn't fulfill his promises, I would expect for them to call for his head. There has been enough lying going around for years. If he's one of them, he made fools out of millions of people.
