President-elect Donald Trump will do what he does best - surround himself with the best advisors. I expect he will shake up DoD and DHS leadership and his administration will replace each and every political appointee as quickly as feasible.
I had the misfortune of being a co-chair with a political appointee from the Clinton presidency in 2002. That ATL SES was a toady who did his best to insult the President he was serving under - namely George W. Bush.

I completely agree with McCaffrey - based on his campaign performance I wonder what Trump will really do as President when he has to make a critical decision. I hope he finds reasonable staff and listens to them. All it takes is one really bad call....

I think he will rise to the occasion just fine.....That is what the advisors are for, to educate and offer suggestion.
