This is a good start, deporting "Criminal Illegal Immigrants" they will try and lump it together with ALL illegal immigrants to fearmonger.

However, I would make it clear to those not targeted, breaking the law could get them tossed.

I'm just very glad that I can slow a deportation case down longer than Trump can stay in office.

SSG William Bowen - I've worked for ten years as an INS/ICE senior special agent and ten more as an immigration attorney, so In really not looking for explanations of immigration law here as I already understand it and work in it professionally.

Suffice it to say that under our law, being admissible is not a requirement for the conferring of due process rights. 42B Cancellation if Removal for Certain BNon-Permanent Residents is just one example of a defense to deportation that inadmissible aliens can Sek in immigration court, Withhilding of Removal and Defensive Asylum two others.

I do this for a living and don't offer my "Opinion" on this subject, but rather my expert professional knowledge.

Most likely it would only be revoked if the person committed certain crimes or were to be convicted of a deportable offense. If they stay out of trouble, I would say they are good and would be able to reapply and be approved. Of course that is all dependent on what Trump decides to do.

SSG William Bowen - The issue is Trump's promise to undo all of Obama's executive orders on day one.

LTC (Join to see) - I think like all presidents, he/they don't know all the details of a variety of issues and circumstances. When Obama took office he said he would have all of troops home and Gitmo closed within a year. Once he got in there and was briefed by all the generals and other staff, he probably paused for a moment and said, "Well hell, this is worse than I thought. There is no way we can do that in the next year", and 8 years later neither of those things has happened. I work for ICE and everyday I look at the records of some very bad people that need to be removed from the US. Hopefully, with the help of his staff, they can come up with a plan to remove the worst first. There are also a lot of judges that are sympathetic to some of these aliens and give them lesser sentences or completely dismiss the case just so they won't be deported. If I committed some of these crimes, I am pretty sure I wouldn't get the slap on the wrist some of them get. There are a lot of layers of immigrations issues that can't be fixed with one stroke of a pen, and too much change in one action could be reckless.

It's definitely a start. get rid of the troublemakers, the inmates costing the country money to house and feed. The ones who are nothing but trouble to begin with. Like he said, make a decision on the rest of the "Illegals" later.
