We got the turkey and the sides alright, but unfortunately the monsoon season had started and since we didn't have mess kits, because of "C" rations ,everything was doled out on paper plates needless to say it was a total mess, I have to give them credit the Army tried its best and it was a Thanksgiving I'll always remember, especially since I had some pound cake and peaches that I was saving for such a rainy day!

1SG(P) (Join to see) Where is the green turkey? I just ate C-rations like every other day over there.

1SG(P) (Join to see) - Lol believe it or not, they were a lot better that the MRE's in my opinion.
The 'green turkey' reference was about a Thanksgiving meal brought in by chopper and the turkey loaf was all green, i chose not to indulge and ate C's.
