I wonder if Umansky, as a stalwart of journalistic integrity, is concerned about the media's performance this election cycle. Essentially being in the tank for Clinton and in some cases working directly with the campaign. CNN, the NYT and many other media outlets were caught red handed. If the media were truthful and honest in their coverage there would be less cause for Trump to go around them.

If you don't think there is election fraud can you explain the Stein/Clinton efforts in three formerly blue states where they are claiming voting irregularities/fraud? Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin, all three democrat states HRC lost but none in the recount that Clinton won. Funny how that happens.

It's interesting that you mention CNN and the NYT, two of the news mediums that Trump has publicly denounced. You say that the media is in the tank for Clinton but make no mention of FoxNews, Breitbart, and other conservative media outlets that were and are in the tank for Trump.
I'm not naive as to believe that their isn't voter fraud but those that commit it get caught and isn't as prevalent as many would hope. Also, the recounts in Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin didn't reveal anything new so why complain about verification?

SSG Michael Hartsfield - I hate to tell you this but Fox News did everything in their power during the primary to denounce Trump at every turn. But when you compare, Main stream media, only fox leans right, CNN, MSNBC, CBS, NYT etc all tend to lean or fall liberal. I personally would love to find a news agency that reported the facts and just the facts and left all the slants and opinions out of it.

SSG Michael Hartsfield - Mike, first, you have to separate the news division from the opinions elements. The NYT has as editorial board and a news division. The issue for them, CNN, MNSBC, NBS. CBS, ABC was the line between their news divisions and their opinion elements was obliterated to the point the news divisions collaborated with Clinton's campaign. The news anchors were cheerleading for HRC and some of them have openly, finally admitted it.

Fox did a far better job (albeit not perfect) at keeping their opinion shows (O'Reilly, Hannity and Kelly) separate from their news shows. Also, Fox had open invitations for HRC to come on their shows. I think she showed up once. Trump went on every network multiple times. She hid from view.

On the recounts, unless there is a very thin margin or a real accusation of voter fraud what would be the purpose of a recount? I would tell you that Klein and HRC's only goal was to destabilize Trump's transition, stoke the protests and try to delegitimize his win. HRC and Obama (and many other leading democrats) told us there was no voter fraud in this country so why do we need to look for something they do not believe exists? Is this the political equivalent of the search for the Loch Ness Monster?

Oh so now responsible news reporting should be done! What happened for the last 8 years of lopsided liberal BS news? So the media only is responsible when it suits them?

SSG Michael Hartsfield I read the whole thing and wow what a piece of fiction. Again, it was a simple enough request. Do you actually know somebody that was unable to vote because of a law on the books? See here is where responsible news reporting comes into play. People keep saying the same thing over and over till they believe the bullshit because somebody that has no factual information supports the idea with more untrue information because they want it to be true.
That was my whole point. You don't know anybody that was unable to vote and neither does anybody else. Nobody can put a actual human being to their "news" story. If there were people that could not vote I would be the first person to raise hell about it. I would camp out at my congressman's office until something was done to fix it. My wife was not going to vote this election because she hated both presidential candidates. My wife is a liberal and her vote would not help any of my candidates, yet I put her ass in the car and she went and voted. I did not shed blood for this country to allow the democratic process to be morphed into allowing anybody that can legally vote not to be given the opportunity. I also expect that dead people are not allowed to vote.
While being crystal clear in why people need to understand the news media is not our friend and gave several accounts, including challenging you to come up with one single name to refute my point, you have decided to believe something that is not true because it has now been instilled in you that it is true even though I have showed you that it is not.

SSG Michael Hartsfield - Gerrymandering works both ways in Maryland almost every congressional district borders on Baltimore. Now, which way do you think do you think their politics lie. Maryland is mostly rural except for the Suburbs of Wash D.C. and Baltimore City. Our tax money gets funneled to Baltimore for their projects that their tax base can't afford and we will be saddled with that for years to come as long as we keep these districts. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maryland's_congressional_districts#/media/File:Maryland_Congressional_Districts,_113th_Congress.tif

SSG Michael Hartsfield - People who have straight news shows on Fox, do straight news. That is what I want. People who have opinion/analysis shows do opinion and analysis. If I tune in, that is what I want.

People on MSNBC, CNN, ABC, NBC, CBS, and HLN that claim to have straight news shows editorialize and claim it is straight news. That I do not want. When it comes to political stories, there is no straight news reporting on the left bias channels.

SSG Michael Hartsfield - Norm Coleman, the incumbent Republican Senator in Minnesota was victimized by voter fraud. Even though the block says access dened it will lead to the US News and World Report written by a former United Press International reporter.

What he should have said is: When the Media believes that a politician is not telling the truth, they need to do research, then publish the actual facts, not the authors opinion and conjecture. What the Main Stream Media has been doing for the last few years is refuting a politicians statements by repeating what was published by another news source without validating the original stories sources. The problem is that, with the advent of the internet, the average reader can readily validate the sources that are quoted and determine for themselves who is lying.
