I have a hard time with articles like these because it's obvious that neither the authors nor the editors know squat doodle about cars. Iconic means instantly and widely recognizable as an example of a genre or an item which significantly affected that category. I'd have to add the Model T Ford, the first mass produced automobile; the Toyota Corolla(this really hurts), the highest selling model in the history of the industry; and the '57 Chevy, instantly recognizable in most of the world as the American car. I don't believe obscure exotic cars with production runs under 1,000 units and prices higher that the GNP of some small emerging nations have a place on this list.
