Yes this wonderful Trump went through two impeachment trials. Oversaw a miserable pandemic response and tried to steal an election. Not only that but Trump, GOP, and his supporters turned into infinite liars. This has been a miserable 4 years for the country.

Everyone should know that Machiavelli was what we would today call a "shit talker." He wrote such grandiose ideas in his book "The Prince" but remember that he was never actually in charge of anyone or anything. He never got to see if all his ideas actually worked or not. Until he was given a small military command. He utterly failed as a military commander. Not such a good showing for someone who wrote about how leaders should lead.

He was no better than the TV news pundits who critique and "Monday Morning Quarterback" everyone who is actually out there doing the job and making critical decisions without the luxury of hindsight. On here and on Facebook and other social media, we destroy those who talk out their butts. Machiavelli would have been one of those people who talked out his posterior, and dismissed as a wannabe at best.

I wouldn't take leadership advice from someone who has only led once, and failed. Or as Patton once put it, "I wouldn't give a hoot in hell for a man who lost and laughed."
