Seems like justice would be a lot better served if the 150 million went to fixing the water supply and Rick Snyder spent the rest of his days in prison.

PV2 Tong Li is a little careless with his decimal points, and facts. I suggest the NPR report on the origins of the crisis. Any suit against Governor Snyder, civil or criminal, wouldn't pass a legal sniff test. The fault for this crisis lies with The MDEQ (Republican led) and the Detroit Water Supply Authority (Democrat led) and the Flint Water Board (Democrat Led)

In 2011, the state of Michigan took over Flint's finances so those decisions were made by state officials under the governor, not city officials under the mayor.

1) Read your own headline it is $1.5 Million not $150million. Decimal places make a difference. Try having it move two places to the left on your next direct deposit.
2) The legal defense is of the state and its employees, not Governor Snyder. That is required under existing union agreements that cover the employees in question. Source: Michigan Civil Service Commission web page.
3) The charges that have been brought have been brought by the states REPUBLICAN attorney general Bill Schuette. Source: Wikipedia
3) For Governor Snyder, (or any state employees that did not make the proximate decisions), to face criminal or civil proceedings in this case the burden of proof is that Governor Snyder (and or any state employees that did not make the proximate decisions) went beyond simple or gross negligence and entered into the realm of intentional malfeasance. Source: Michigan Civil Service Commission web page.
4) Governor Snyder offered an apology on Jan 19, 2016 Source: NY Times, Lawler, Emily (January 29, 2016). "Michigan Gov. Rick Snyder signs $28M aid bill for Flint water crisis
5) Please keep in mind that the City of Flint had an emergency manager because it was defaulting on its debts under the Democrat led government.
6) The crisis was precipitated when the Republican appointed Emergency Manager notified the Detroit Water System Authority (DWSA) that the city of Flint would build its own pipeline to the Karegnondi Water Authority (KWA). This measure was being taken to save the City of Flint $250million over the next 25 years. The NEXT DAY the DWSA a Democrat controlled body that is predominantly African-American, gave notice that Flint would be disconnected from DWSA in one year, not enough time to complete the environmental impact studies and complete the new pipeline.

Is it your assertion the pre-dominantly Democrat and pre-dominantly African-American DWSA is as a certainty racist and deliberately trying to poison impoverished African American children?
7)What is your source for your assertion that the entire water system in Flint can be filtered for $150?

Strongly recommend that you fact check PV2 Tong Li's article and statement. It is incredibly oversimplifying and inaccurate.
