Here is some more on this, I agree if he is innocent he should be compensated. I read several different articles on this one before posting and the crux of the boards issue is that the DNA available was not him, but the victim was raped by two men and the second rape was "very fast" and may not have "ejaculated" which meant there would be no DNA to test. 3 DNA types however were found. The Victim also identified him BUT he did live in the area so that could be questionable when he hit 28 years he told the parole board he was "very sorry" for his crime. In an "attempt to get out of prison" I think 28 years would get most people to say anything to get out.

I can find no information on a criminal history, it was pointed out he had 97 Prison infractions and one person accused him of assault only to recant later. we all know Prison is not a nice place and infractions can mean anything including you didn't flush the toilet in a proper manner.

All I have read and knowing this started in the 70"s I would not be surprised if he was railroaded by a Injustice system that wanted a slam dunk case. The current Parole board that is denying his request I'm sure is basing this off of 1: Your about to be out 1 Mill 2: You have to admit your system screwed up.

We are a system of innocent till proven guilty, all that I read if I was on a Jury I would have serious doubt about guilt and would have to vote not guilty. the Parole board has decided that he is Guilty with out concrete proof.

Thanks for the update CPO (Join to see). You are so correct in believing police just want a conviction, oftentimes by railroading people. I'm a retired military police office and I support law enforcement but when they're wrong, I dont. I certainly dont want to put an innocent man in jail to close a case.
