Much has been made of social media spreading false news and now there is this. The statement in this story that grabbed me was this: “We want it down as much as anyone, for the family, and it maybe harmful to other kids. We contacted some of the sites. They asked if they had to take it down, and by law they don’t. " This was a 12-year-old and last weeks attack on the mentally disabled teen are shocking. Facebook is worried about fake news- what can we do to prevent this in the future?

Maj Marty Hogan This is terribly sad and shows how irresponsible the major social media sites actually are. Have you ever tried to call somebody at FaceBook with an issue. Good Luck!

Technology & social media has it's pros and cons as we all know. This is so sad & preventable! Way too many suicides especially kids. For that fact, one suicide is one too many.
