I just find it so ironic that just because you are black and can get in front of a microphone white people infer that they speaking for all black people. Why is it when Trump gets on the mic he is not speaking for all white people? I am trying to understand, black+mic=every black person in the US. White+mic=another politician that should not be trusted. SSG Warren Swan SSG James J. Palmer IV aka "JP4" Can you guys try to explain this to me?

SSG James J. Palmer IV aka "JP4" - And I get that "JP" speaks JP's opinion only, but I also know you and because of that you are in my mind's Rolodex your under "friend" not "black guy speaking for entire community". I'm guilty of thinking Sharpton or Obama has spoken for all black people, which I know they do not speak for everybody of any race. Yet, somehow the media steers us to black guy with air time as speaking for everybody. It is obvious that is happens and I am sure that people recognize it, why don't they call people out on that incorrect assumption?

I hope you know me well enough to know that I would never mean to be disrespectful to anyone. I know that there is racism in America by all people, of all colors. My way of saying fuck you to racism is I try to treat everybody the same way while still recognizing that we are different. So I just ask plainly if I do not understand something the same as I would a family member. It is just awkward for everybody when white guys try to be politically correct around black guys.
