I consider the 60 congressmen "boycotting" the inauguration the most egregious example of selfish childishness. These are not private citizens...they represent their constituency. How are they imagining they will help their constituents when they've alienated the Executive and the other 475 members of Congress? Get over yourselves and remember your responsibilities...there is (still) work to do, regardless of which side of the aisle you're on, and you don't get it done by taking your ball and going home crying.

Col Joseph Lenertz - Your argument is for a Congressman to ignore their constituents requests to join in a protest in hopes that he/she can work with the other party to achieve the same goals that those constituents are protesting the incoming administration that has already made it public knowledge to take away what's important to those constituents? You see the irony? Oh and how did that bipartisan compromise work out the past few years. (That was meant to be rhetorical.)

MAJ James Woods - I imagine he may want to at least work with members of his OWN party (most of whom have rejected the boycott as childish). I was giving them even more credit than that though, and assuming they'd also want to work with members from the other party whom they share certain ideas with, or who they may share a subcommittee with. You seem to think if they seek relationships across the aisle then they will automatically be hurting their constituents...this is not true! This is where compromise begins.

PO1 Henry Jackson - I'm sure you can come up with some pictures of that, right? When you do, we will compare them with the idiocy we will see tomorrow. How many Republicans shunned Obama's inaugurations? We will compare them too.

MCPO Roger Collins - They shunned his entire 8 years in office. They chose Party over people. They have split this country and I have to wonder if at this point if it is beyond repair.

SGT Anna Kleinschmidt - Not sure who did the shunning and splitting. I think we can come together with someone that seriously desires unity and shows it with action.

I don't believe that Trump is that person. His words are often did unifying like his Merry Christmas even to all the haters and almost daily comments like that. They are ment to distance people not bring them together. They are not healing words. MCPO Roger Collins -

Those who boycott the inauguration as well as those GOP members of Congress who openly advocated "Never Trump" are going to have a hard time getting in the door of the White House. I wonder how their constituents will feel then. They will be poorly represented in DC, won't they?
