Interesting: on one hand this seems to bash how much fuss we make at the inauguration. I tend to agree with that; I personally believe a single ball after the swearing in ceremony is sufficient; anything after that is overkill.

After that this person definitely has a personal animosity for Trump; we can see it in his first paragraph. I don't agree with that part. Don't mix what I see as two different stories: if you want to do a hit piece... OK, if you want to make comment on our procedures... OK; but don't mix them.

There are Democrats who have ambivalence about Donald Trump some even voted for him out of desperation frustration of eight years empty promises hoping that Donald Trump keeps his promise for 10% of what promises to do comes true is still better than 8 years of President Obama

Interesting perspective from an outsider looking in. Frankly, I don't have any problem with a little pomp and circumstance and many of the activities scheduled as part of Inauguration Day Ceremonies are actually being carried out by other organizations than the Trump White House Team. Frankly I find the good Father's attitude condescending toward American traditions and it is obvious he doesn't think very highly of Mr. Trump. I believe he greatly underestimates the man, but only time will tell.

This conservative priest puts articles in the National Post. The National Post is part of the Wall Street Journal I believe it's a Murdoch paper. So you may see his column in the United States as well

The author managed to get in a Donald Trump/Sadam Hussein comparison. It's a refreshing change from all the Hitler comparisons.

Liberals forget the Hitler asked for emergency power after present Hindenburg died and then it became an authoritarian Nazi Germany and as soon as Hitler sworn in then it is when everyone started getting killed one by one political enemies of the Nazis were being hung on piano wire, executed or thrown into concentration camp or fleeing the country. This will not happen after the president's swearing-in today.

We're not going to have President Donald Trump read off much the names like Saddam Hussein did where he put up names of those people who were put in jail or executed that day. That is what Saddam did when he came to power. Liberals forget that
