PO1 William "Chip" Nagel - Laos and the Hmong were interesting. While there are rare stories of paramilitary excesses which get sensationalized, the reality of the overwhelming majority of our overt and covert operations were far more routine and benign. Warmest Regards, Sandy :)
p.s. The CIA grew out of the OSS - why do people believe it was ever not paramilitary?

My Russian is My Weakest link, I haven't had any Russian Practice for 35 years Probably but I do love using the Russian and French word for Female Dog!

1LT Sandy Annala - I once forgot that a Dear Female Friend was a Cajun Canadian and I was Drunk and My Choice of Words left a lot to be desired. Needless to say she slapped the S**t out of Me (Which I deserved) but all was forgiven the Next Day.

We referred to the CIA as "Spooks" I didn't know that had a double meaning until I got back stateside.
