Just to lighten up the subject a bit,but sorry Sir,my biggest fear was a 2LT with a compass and a map,again no disrespect,as an aside I found that the fear of letting down your Brothers was my greatest fear.

All of those old guys you see wandering around town in old uniforms aren't homeless. They're actually just LTs who got lost on a land nav course years ago.

Fear is normal, letting it control you is also normal. But you can train yourself to conquer your fears. Doing something everyday that scares you, daily conquering fear after fear. You won't become fearless, but you'll become confident which some would say is close to the same thing.
