After all this I still don't see any quotes in the article as being racist. Somebody please point me to the racist words without adding your own to make the statement(s) racist.

Homogeneous populations of any kind often lead to extremism, because nobody is willing to challenge the prevailing thoughts of the majority. Diversity creates more inclusive and free society. It's hard to say definitely if a person in power (especially one from the dominant group in society) says that kind of thing because it has been tried in the past.

I believe the way you describe homogeneous populations is a short term narrow view. I don’t know this King person from Adam, he may be as racist as the day is long; what I will do is read what people put out here in support of their opinions, and if it interests me enough look up a bit of information on the internet. Frankly this King person doesn’t interest me.

Getting back to homogeneous populations: When I hear discussion about homogeneous populations I hear items such as in several generations we won’t be able to tell what original race a person is because our ancestors will have blended our original races together so much. I look in areas of our country and I see how this is happening and that it is true except in some parts of the country that are extremely isolated or people band together in ethnic neighborhoods and refuse to intermingle. I don’t see this as being racist. There are usually a few different ways of looking at things. I usually reserve judgment until the way a person uses a phrase is put in context.

You never explained where the phrase "somebody else's baby" that you used came from. No free passes here :)

When they are saying "I prayed for you this morning", I don't think that is support in the manner he speaks. I think it is more get your head outta your a**

LTC (Join to see) - It depends on the situation. I think only a southerner could tell the difference between it being genuine and sarcastic. For example: if someone were to say "I got 4 babies by 4 different men" and a southern lady replies:"Well, bless your heart" she's really saying "Damn you are a skank". But southern manners don't allow saying it out loud.
