Obviously there's no rationalizing the actions of the mentally ill, but WTF?

My knee jerk reaction is that this numb nuts just decided that jail living conditions as good or better than living conditions in Afghanistan, so why not commit a crime that would make him friends with the Aryan Brotherhood and go live on the Taxpayer dime.

This is exactly why I'm a fan of the death penalty. Whatever his "logic" behind randomly killing someone who he had never met before he's no different than the D.C. snipers a few years ago. What the hell are they putting in the water in Maryland?

I saw this last night and it's cowardice to the nth degree. He didn't go after someone that could protect themselves or fight back. He killed a 66 year old homeless man that was digging through the trash. Cowards. Every last one of them

He picked the right state to do this in, no death penalty. Candidly though, this case would likely not lead to a death sentence in many states. A single murder, even premeditated these days hardly makes a blip on the radar screen. That is the unfortunate reality of the times we live in.
