I don't support abortion but this seems extreme.

Way overboard in my opinion. If we are so hellbent on stopping abortions, how come we don't see any legislation that punishes the male who is equally responsible for the pregnancy that results in an abortion? Last I checked it takes two to tango and when you have an unplanned pregnancy that neither party is ready for, they are both equally responsible and there for should be punished if you want to legislate and punish abortions. Seems a double stand as the laws are set up now where only the woman is punished.

Since when was a female punished for having an abortion. RvW made them legal. But, it isn't the males decision to end a life.

A handful of states — including Delaware, Idaho, Nevada, New York, Oklahoma, South Carolina, and Utah — have laws on the books that specifically permit punishment of women when they have an abortion in certain circumstances and more significantly, 38 states have feticide laws.

While RvW made abortion legal to a certain extent based on the trimester in which the abortion occurs, many states have continually worked to chip away at that right. These states have legislated in a manner that makes it more and more restrictive towards those that provide abortions and in some instances de facto illegal for women to have an abortion through the use laws that punish women for crimes such as possession of "dangerous drugs" for using abortion induction drugs.

Since 1973, at least 1,000 women have been subjected to arrests or equivalent deprivations of liberty in which it is clear that but for pregnancy, their conduct would not have been investigated or punished. Otherwise non-criminal acts such as attempting suicide, falling down a flight of stairs, drinking alcohol, failing to get bed rest, not consenting to surgery, and using drugs (as opposed to possessing drugs) become criminal acts because the woman is pregnant.

For the vast majority of abortions, the male has either abandoned the women or is consensual in the abortion as they are either not ready, not willing, or not able to be a father due to age, financial, education or social situations or other reasons much like the vast majority of women.

The point is we punish women by either preventing them from getting an abortion or for having an abortion through various legal means but we never ever punish or hold those men accountable in the same manner even though they are equally responsible for establishing the conditions that will let to an abortion.

Did you ever hear of birth control? Hillary felt that abortion would be acceptable up to the time of birth, because the fetus doesn't have Constitutional rights. Sorry, not buying it, be responsible for your carelessness. A death sentence for convenience doesn't sit well with me.
