I see this involves NATO. The US provides roughly 22% of NATO’s direct funding, which covers the cost of maintaining NATO headquarters, joint security investments, combined military operations. The BBC in July 2020 stated “Nearly 70% of total spending on defence by Nato governments is accounted for by the US.” https://www.bbc.com/news/world-44717074

I always get upset when the only thing people look at is the monetary contributions of NATO member nations. If you've ever served in/with NATO you tknow they contibute as much as possible in non monetary ways.
