This sounds like much ado about nothing to me. Seems to me it would be better for congress to know what the President is going to argue against before it is sent to the White House so that they can negotiate a budget in Congress that won't get kicked back by POTUS.

Well Capt. Kirk is not amused. Seriously, why even discuss a Space Corps when USMC F-18 Hornets need spare parts, when we have a shortage of USAF pilots and the F-35 is experiencing severe problems with its Oxygen System? This is pure lunacy

LTC Orlando Illi F-35 is experiencing problems with more than just the oxygen system. I agree that there are other things that are important. Problem with any budget is that the pie can only be divided so many ways. Like I said at least Congress has a heads up as to which programs POTUS is going to fight them on. Finally, of course it is pure lunacy, it is our government at work. Instead of building a wall around Mexico, maybe build a wall around Washington to keep that crazy contained.

This country is already full of "Space Cadets"..........we don't need to sanction them with official status. On second thought.......I can think of a few that I would like to shoot off into space.......

SOP, the President gives his guidelines for the budget, the Congress modifies it as they see fit, reconcile differences and the President either goes with it or vetoes it and sends it back.
