It's going to be pretty sad if this ends up getting implemented and these people who have built careers get kicked out for no other reason than bigotry.

Its more than "bigotry". Transgender is a diagnosed mental illness.. And as such, should be reason enough for disqualification from military service

It's actually not classified as a mental illness in the DSM anymore. Also it is bigotry to allow them to serve openly the last year and then come pull the rug out from under them. They aren't a burden and the medical costs are .004% to .017% of the total DoD health budget. Less than 1% of the budget goes to their services.
