Good news everyone! Even with all the partisanship and division in our country Congress was able to get this bill passed with a vote of 405-0. The bill is expected to pass through the Senate this week.

Disappointed I never had the opportunity to use my NMGIB. I paid money into it and only had 10 yrs to use it. At the VA ETS briefing, we were told ' ... use it within 10 yrs of starting your degree.' I don't enjoy company; however, many of my peers heard the same thing. I paid for college out of pocket, including the $1200 paid into the NMGIB. Very excited for the next generation!! Should never have had a time limit in the first place!!

Not so great. It only applies to first term enlistees after January 2018. It's great for them, but doesn't help a single current veteran out there. Read the fine print.
