Concealed Carry Reciprocity, generally means that people who have passed a background check and had mandatory training on the law are allowed to carry concealed across state lines. Its an improvement on current gun laws, not a gutting of gun laws. I disagree with the NRA on a lot of issues, however I don't have a problem with this.

LTC (Join to see) - My expectation is that Federal law will require that all states grant reciprocity to all other states which have certain minimum requirements for
the issuance of a CCW. That is essentially the same framework in the present LEOSA Federal law, although there is no "national standard" for qualification to become a police officer.
I don't believe the Federal National Reciprocity Law that will emerge from the "sausage-making" legislative process will dictate anything to any state as far as that state's requirements for a CCW . What I expect is that minimum standards for required reciprocity will be established. States which continue with lower standards for CCW issuance will be free to do so, but nationwide acceptance of their CCWs will not be enforced by Federal law. So states that are too "easy" with CCWs will not be included, and those "may issue" states who set impossible, arbitrary, unconstitutional, "regulations" for a CCW will have to allow out-of-state citizens the exercise of a right that they deny their own citizens "under color of law".
There are now some 13 states with "permitless carry", and those who are legally qualified to possess a gun, may carry it without any document issued by the state. Some of those states (Alaska, I know is one) will issue a CCW to their citizens who travel to other states, so that they may carry legally in those other states, where a CCW is required.

SSG (Join to see) - Just checked USACarry reciprocity map. An AZ resident permit will be honored in all but 12 states (the usual suspects -- CA, NY, MD, NJ, MA, etc.) and DC.

Thanks for the post. I've fired off messages to my two senators and congresswoman voicing my support for concealed carry reciprocity. While I know that wasn't the intent of the post, I feel the same way about concealed carry reciprocity as I do about ... states recognizing each other's driver's licenses, marriages, divorces, etc, etc. I've never understood why concealed carry reciprocity WASN'T among those things commonly recognized across state boundaries.

I'm not particularly focused on the NRA ... but rather on the Constitution. Concealed carry reciprocity is the right thing to do and, IMV, will be a deterrent to crime.

SSG Stephen Hurst - I'd simply note that they, too, have to be reelected from time to time ... and gun ownership is not limited to one party or another. My brother-in-law is a Democrat ... but a politician's position on gun control is a vote-deciding issue for him. He NEVER votes in favor of anyone that wishes to curtail his right to own firearms in any size, shape, or form. He sucked it up and voted for Trump last year. Wouldn't have voted for the cuckquean for love or money ... and solely because of her position on gun control. Go ahead and write 'em. You've nothing to lose but a little time and effort and it may help tip the balance.

SSG Stephen Hurst - Good on you! If Dem gun owners do the same thing, the numbers will send a clear signal that most congresscritters can't/won't ignore. They'll sell out gun control for votes in a heartbeat if they need to to stay in office.

I don't see an issue here. We just had a government caught red-handed supplying weapons to drug cartels inside of Mexico and I don't see any outrage on the Left. Where is your petition on that?

LTC (Join to see) - Those "weak gun laws" were the imaginings of those who perpetrated "Fast & Furious". They wished to portray existing "weak laws" as the cause of those guns getting into the hands of the cartels. Their solution would be more "regulation".
