This was from Canada's national Post newspaper from this morning May 25th 2017. Canada is not fulfilling its commitment of increasing its spending to 2% of GDP. Other nations may be scolding Canada in addition to president Trump. Canada's military is gutted from years of deployments to Afghanistan and both conservative and liberal governments have ignored pleas by the military to upgrade their planes and their ships. Canada has been a good partner to the United States but they have ignored upgrading their equipment.

If they are not doing 2%, then they should be called out. But they need to reset their equipment, worthless equipment is.... worthless.

For the last 20 years under conservative and liberal government's IE Democrats and Republicans equivalent they have neglected their military they're Supply ships are have been scrapped they rely on other countries to supply their frigates when Patrol in the Black Sea or other places. There Army Reserve doesn't have any radios because the radio procurement is behind schedule so the active-duty took all their good radios. Canada is funding less than 1% of its GDP. You say it's none of our business but they agreed 3 years ago to get the 2% so where is the accountability? President Trump is the first president to call foul and say it's unsatisfactory for Germany Canada and others to not pull their fair share.
