I never explicitly or implicitly stated he did not have the right to do what he did. I feel he is an ass for what appears to be looking for a confrontation.

I understand both sides. I understand the fact that the officer wanted to identify the person, and I also understand that the activist was acting like a douche bag. However, I also understand that the activist has the right to be there sense it's public property and to film because it's protected by the First Amendment. The activist could have not acted like a douche bag, and the officer could have gone about the situation differently as well.

any information given to a cop can be used to manufacture a case. WARREN V DC 1981 supreme court says cops have no duty to protect and serve.

Duane Weimerskirch - first, Warren v. District of Columbia, 444 A.2d. 1 (D.C. 1981) is a) not a US Supreme Court decision, it is an appellate court for DC; b) only is binding law in the District of Columbia. The general principle is correct, but you're citing the wrong case to back up your claim. Second, Warren does not support your assertion that cops can manufacture a case against someone based on what they said to the police.

When you are charged and you go to court you are teamed against professional liars. The judge, prosecutor, cop, and jury are against you . If you want to be innocent the only hope is jury nullification. Screw cops they are professional crooks backed by tax dollars
