Navy Recruits at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes

I went to San Diego for boot camp - company 79-917, but I was at GL for MM "A" school, and I was on SSC staff when the riots happened in the summer of 79.

I began my career here in RTC GLAKES as a Seaman Recruit, in late June 1961 and wound it up here 24 years later in June 1985, as OIC PSD NRMC.

I went to sunny Orlando in 84 and nothing like this easy boot camp now.
