CPT Jack Durish I have pissed off many a vegetarian by asking them if being a vegetarian is so great, why is so much effort made to create vegetarian products that taste like meat? Typical response I have received involves self fornication. I do have a friend who is vegan. She is a great cook, and has made dishes that I didn't realize were meat free. Her answer when I asked that question was "I don't know, I don't eat that shit."

I like plain tofu. Silken tofu and fruit and ice makes a great smoothie. Firm tofu cut into slices and cubes are easily flavor with sauces and a good source of protein. I hate tofu that has been texturized, colorized, and flavorized to become pretend meat. Ghastly stuff.

CPT Jack Durish - I do like miso soup which has the cubes of tofu in it. As you said though, that is not tofu posing as meat.
