TRUMP: NFL owners are 'afraid of their players'

SFC Kelly Fuerhoff - There is NFL policy on conduct during the anthem and they are in violation. It's like the NCOs who don't enforce standards. the standard is there , the fact it is not enforced doesn't negate it's existence . The actual policy has been posted on RP add nauseum in a slew of posts and you too can read it if'n you take a minute to google it. Also just as in business when you sign an employment contract you are agreeing to adhere to the policies and procedures of your employer.
"Domestic violence and rape and murder are ok but peaceful protests...whoa now. That's crossing the line." Where in any post did you get this. This doesn't reflect anything anyone has said on RP. There have been a bunch of posts on RP long before the flag issue calling out the folks that were abusive in the NFL.

But it took him 3 days to address Charlottesville and then he said "some of them are fine people" about the white supremacists" again you misstate facts. He condemned the whole bunch of dipshits in Charlottesville , just not in the language some would like and yes there were folks there that were neither ANTIFA nor KKK nor Nazis, communists or anarchists who are basically good folks exercising their rite to disagree with the eradication of history, but that fact doesn't fit the narrative .
There's also been a large response to the PR event. Look at the FEMA chart on Linked In posted by a retired SGM who is now a FEMA coordinator. Putting foreign maritime assets in PR without tariff was an issue, but again it's a law, the fact that it's a pain and caused issues doesn't negate the fact that it is policy and required an exemption. Which has been granted by the way.
"Give me a break" . I give you a break on a regular basis because while I disagree with you a lot, I respect and value your service.

"The National Anthem must be played prior to every NFL game, and all players must be on the sideline for the National Anthem. During the National Anthem, players on the field and bench area should stand at attention, face the flag, hold helmets in their left hand, and refrain from talking. … Failure to be on the field by the start of the National Anthem may result in discipline, such as fines, suspensions, and/or the forfeiture of draft choice(s) for violations of the above, including first offenses."
Again weather or not the officials honor or enforce their own rules doesn't negate their existence. Why write stuff if you don't intend to enforce it. Now let the argument be over the words "Should" verses "shall".

How do you know they're not giving back to their communities? Kaep has donated millions of HIS money to charities, and has created charities as to where others can donate and so has other NBA and NFL players. Just because you don't hear about, doesnt mean it doesnt exist.

SSgt Ray Stone - It has nothing to do with charities. I'm talking about getting involved with or starting Community Advisory Panels. Usually appointed by a mayor, a broad spectrum of citizens throughout the community come together to give input on resolving social issues. People "admitting racism exists.." Sure it does but it is not limited to strictly caused by those of white European descent. Ask the Asian students who try to get into an ivy league school that have to score 249 points higher than other "affected class" applicants.

Yous are assuming that sponsors will significantly pull support and that ratings go down FO for other than short periods if rime. I think that both are unlikely Sports junkies will still want thier fix.
