CSM Richard StCyr - Show me the policy. No one has been able to show an actual policy about conduct during the anthem. http://www.snopes.com/must-nfl-players-stand/

Funny that until 2009 - 2015 they stayed in the locker room. What happened then? Oh the DoD paid them to be patriotic.

"Domestic violence and rape and murder are ok but peaceful protests...whoa now. That's crossing the line." Where in any post did you get this. This doesn't reflect anything anyone has said on RP. There have been a bunch of posts on RP long before the flag issue calling out the folks that were abusive in the NFL.' --- Did I say that's here on RP? Nope. I said that's the general consensus in society.

He did not condemn them until 3 days later and then said "there are good people on both sides.' But he's spent a week on the NFL. You can ignore it all you want but he did not condemn them immediately. His daughter did that day. He did not.

The point is that there's nothing wrong with the NFL protests and if Trump had kept his fingers off Twitter and kept his mouth shut there wouldn't be as many protesting. Fact. Someone in his staff needs to reign him in because he has more important things to worry about than the NFL or the Emmy's ratings or SNL or any other form of entertainment. He needs to realize he's not an entertainer anymore.

SFC (Join to see) - An excerpt from the NFL game Day Operations Manual: Which are in fact Rules for the conduct of NFL games.
"The National Anthem must be played prior to every NFL game, and all players must be on the sideline for the National Anthem. During the National Anthem, players on the field and bench area should stand at attention, face the flag, hold helmets in their left hand, and refrain from talking. … Failure to be on the field by the start of the National Anthem may result in discipline, such as fines, suspensions, and/or the forfeiture of draft choice(s) for violations of the above, including first offenses."
Again weather or not the officials honor or enforce their own rules doesn't negate their existence. Why write stuff if you don't intend to enforce it. Now let the argument be over the words "Should" verses "shall".

How blase' to equate a charge of racism with the President trying to get overpaid employees to show respect while at work and they ARE at work. Nobody wants to deny them their right to protest but as long as they are paid entertainers, " just read the script." No one is telling them that they can not be a force for social change but maybe it would be more effective if they would do it when they are out in the community. It would be amazing how fast this would disappear if someone would give Kapernick a job because that is what this is really about...oh by the way, isn't it funny how racism gets thrown around when someone runs out of logical arguments....

SSgt Ray Stone - It has nothing to do with charities. I'm talking about getting involved with or starting Community Advisory Panels. Usually appointed by a mayor, a broad spectrum of citizens throughout the community come together to give input on resolving social issues. People "admitting racism exists.." Sure it does but it is not limited to strictly caused by those of white European descent. Ask the Asian students who try to get into an ivy league school that have to score 249 points higher than other "affected class" applicants.
That brush paints everyone......

1stSgt Nelson Kerr - As more and more sponsors pull advertising dollars, the League and team owners will have a problem with it. Except they are struggling now with how to support their team members and still save face...

Yous are assuming that sponsors will significantly pull support and that ratings go down FO for other than short periods if rime. I think that both are unlikely Sports junkies will still want thier fix.

SSgt Boyd Welch - They also get involved with their communities. Maybe not on those panels but they are involved and the NFL has programs to get communities involved.

The NFL has been failing well before this and didn't do anything about it. They have been losing fans and revenue because of the owners. Ratings might fall for a little bit but they will go back up. Like 1stSgt Kerr said - some people need their sports.

The same few people always post the "Trump is a racist" crap, and the "Trump hates everyone" crap, AND the "Trump is terrible and Clinton and Obama were great" crap....Losing a lot of its effectiveness as propaganda when it's obvious trolling.

He proves it every day. I don't share propaganda, FACTS only. I see you didn't say the same when someone here said Michelle Obama is racist.

You go to far...almost every time. It's absolutely disgusting what you say..."He looks at their relationship as master-slave"....absolutely disgusting comment. And people can vote me down all they want...that's the truth. You say things like "In coded racist language"...In other words, you're assuming. You're extrapolating based on your biases.
Again...disgusting. You say you share "FACTS" (caps are yours) only....this is exactly what you posted..."In coded racist language " yall masters bets to get your slaves in check before they run rampant on the plantation" . He looks at their relationship as master - slave." Where are your facts? Does that strike you as factual? Looks like an opinion.
Lisa McDonald should be along shortly to vote me down and support you...
