The American Medal of Honor cannot be sold. This is not hold true for the Victoria Cross. The major who won it was involved in the f a l i s e pocket trying to cut off the escaping German army. His unit captured about 2,000 German soldiers.

I see the medals as pieces of history and personal accomplishment under extreme duress.
Mixed feelings on how to proceed with them upon the awarded's death or at some future point
