Why the national anthem protests are failing

I think Mr. Edward Morrissey hit the nail on the head. Before the NFL protesting started to grow, way back in June Cory Booker, D-N.J., and James Lankford, R-Okla., sponsored a bill that would prohibit teams from using municipal bonds, whose interest is exempt from federal taxes, to help finance stadium construction. I wonder what has happened to that bill, how many other Senators are jumping on the support wagon for it.
