3-D printed gun, other odd weapons confiscated by TSA in August

I'd heard tell, I'd Heard Rumor but this is the first Photo. I've seen. Pretty Impressive.

Now I am doing so 3D printed weapons . . . . as props. I can see how you could build one of these and actually have it fire real bullets, but most materials that are out there would never survive the first round. Interesting idea, but I cannot help but think of how incredibly dangerous it would be to do something this . . . stupid. Maybe a 22 LR would survive, but still not a very smart idea.

3D printing is a nice way to replace plumbing parts, make models, create toys for kids, etc. Making actual functioning weapons, most hobbyist would have a hard time getting the funds for the printer, not to mention all the materials needed to print, and smooth the item. Impossible, no not really, but just plain stupid in my opinion.

Thankfully I haven't run across this mess yet! I usually keep an eye on everyone moving around in the Cabin when I'm working. I have quite a few co-workers who are veterans or military retirees now working in the Airline and we all have the same mentality--- Awareness! We are watching and ready to react/prevent. There will be NO MORE 9/11!

We do have our share of Nut Jobs - and honestly sometimes we think some are "testing" our responses. I just hope the TSA (our first line of defense) is staying up on catching these before they come on board! Thanks for posting this CPT Brown!
