My heart goes out to them. The same week that all 3 Chiefs of Chaplains (Navy, Army, Air Force) send out memos on suicide prevention. I'm also noticing that it was a Chief and a 1st Class (E-7 and E-6) as well as an E-3; no one is invulnerable.
Please, find someone to talk to, call someone, text, e-mail, so many resources and PEOPLE willing to listen if you find yourself thinking about committing suicide.

And yet nothing about a full investigation into these multiple suicides? When a ship is in the yards, it’s a particularly stressful time. Problems at home concomitant with long arduous shipboard activities may have been behind this.

MCPO Roger Collins Master Chief, I know you and I have done a bunch of yard periods between us. I was an engineer, and I can tell you they sucked. But, if they were managed properly and the prior planning and coordination done before the start, the yard period can be significantly easier. I lay this at the feet of the command. On the way home from deployment when everyone is getting ready to go home, I made sure we always busted our butt to make sure all the avail paperwork, scope projects and etc., were ready to go. Never had a yard period where our sailors were there much past 1530, unless we had a specific system test being inducted. I will not take credit for that, that was all the chiefs and E-6's hard work. TO me, on the outside of this story, the leadership failed miserably to prepare for the avail. 2 of the 3 were senior sailors. I would expect to see some senior leaders to be relieved. Just pisses me off when sailors get that stressed out for something that is preventable...

LT Brad McInnis I left the Navy on disability while in the yards, where today the leadership would be considered toxic.

I saw that this is 5 in 6 months. There is something very wrong going on there. In my years, I had one sailor try to commit suicide. And we certainly had a higher OPTEMPO (post 9/11), then they do now.... hope they figure it out.

PO3 Bob McCord - I agree, but 2 of the 3 were E-6 and E-8.

PO3 Bob McCord - Absolutely, no sailor should feel the pressure to commit suicide because of workload. That is a failure of leadership.
