Students walk out after teacher orders: Speak 'American'

While there is no problem speaking another language, English is the primary language of the USA and should be spoken accordingly..

Sheesh, this is the culture we live in apparently. The teacher made a stupid comment and should be held accountable. No issues there. So what's the response? Make it an "issue" and stage a protest. Is this what our kids are learning? That every time someone is mean/hurtful/racist/sexist/etc. then a protest is in order? What are we going to do when a real problem arises?

Must be a different time; when I was a kid, every conversation was either class business or a ticket to detention.
