SSG (Join to see) Several critical mistakes were done here, or failed to be done. Breaking out of a psych facility with nothing done either to name another. Military justice sometimes is happy just to get rid of a turd, than follow through with criminal record unfortunately. Bad situation all around, can not stop everything, but still several acts of negligence.

I have see turd rushed out or receive orders to make them someone else's problem. I once had to argue with Command to not pcs a soldier but to deal with him then chapter him out

@SSG John Stinson it would be in the Air Force's best interest to settle this out of court. It is already enough of a black eye. They don't need to compound it by dragging it through court. The last thing they want is to have that man who lost his pregnant wife and a child get on the witness stand and relive that moment, while their lawyers try to prove that it isn't the Air Force's fault.

I see this as having broader ramifications for the whole military. As some others have pointed out. No longer can you just can a turd and make him or her someone else's problem

SSG (Join to see) - Nope, that turd could hit the fan on its way out, and make a mess for everyone.

The ARMY did that to Nidal Hassan. One Command palmed him off on another command No one would take a stand and hatchet the guy, No officer would take a chance and get a smudge on his record and call the rag head SOB what he was , A Closet terrorist waiting to go super critical. With Clintons stupidity of unarming the ARMY while they are on base (PURE STUPIDITY) He just took his time, and when he got the high sine from the sane box he started his killing spree and the that comic relief in the white house calls it "work place violence" instead of a Terrorist Attack and then the Wimps in the pentagon refuse to issue Purple Hearts to those Killed and Injured by an enemy combatant.

Some how, I have no pity for them. It was complete incompetence for them to forget to add him to the NCIC files. The Air Police think they are so on top of things but they forget to make an NCIC entry??? PITIFUL. A Bird needs to be busted to private for that. The question is How many have they forgotted to enter into NCIC? and not just the Air Force but all the Services.
