The name of the game is also air power and what a punch the B52 has ! Even more weapons systems on a aircraft that was already loaded and new offensive and defensive technology added to that old air frame.

Yes, finally. We should have done it 20 years ago when they had the opportunity, and we would have saved hundreds of millions by now. The CFM-56 used to replace the old J57s and TF-33s on KC-135s would have been a great fit and created logistic economies of scale we'll never see now.

I've heard this many times before, I'll believe it when it happens.
Should have happened decades ago, we would have more than paid for the cost of the program by now.
