Good post MSgt Neil Greenfield. I don't know what POTUS meant. Not trying to rationalize or explain it. That said, folks come from places that don't offer what we have. Some of those countries ARE "Shitholes" in comparison. We've seen them, and I think somewhat agree with that description. In some cases, agree 100%.
I don't think POTUS disparaged anyone who comes from those countries. After all, if those countries were nice, would they come here? Interested in seeing the other comments.

The subject was the people from those nations . The nation's themselves a would be meaningless in context. Unless whole nations are trying to move here. It was not a remark made in isolation it was a complaint about where i.people were coming from. Even the Republicans in the room like Sen Hatch knee exactly what he meant and said so publicly.

It is getting increasingly difficult to keep my mouth shut about this Commander in Chief. The shithole nations he mentioned have provided us with many fellow soldiers who served honorably. How can anyone defend someone who speaks about how great he wants to make America, yet he didn't step up to serve. I speak for every POTUS who never served regardless of party.

I think the problem is he called two predominantly black countries shitholes and then said we should bring more folks from Norway which is a predominantly white country.
