Pragmatic question, at what point do people become a slave to the state?

At the point the people stop questioning the state, and refuse to participate in the process. I ripped into a buddy of mine the other day over our Mayor. He hates him. I asked him if he voted against him, and he said no "my vote doesn't count."

LT Brad McInnis - With what I do now, I end up keeping some ultra-liberal company, and more and more there is this concept that gets floated about being paid for work is umm...bad. And words such as "common good" and "enlightenment" will get bantered around, and normally I just chalk that up to artists and devs being brain damaged but...occasionally I see people like this and I find myself wondering about the flavor of the coolaid over there.

OK... I think Nancy Pelosi was Satan's Nanny, and taught him everything he knows. But is this something she really said?, or something made up that someone thought we'd buy?
