Any collector would drool at the ability to buy 55 firearms a year...I know I would. Heck I can think of 20 I would like off the top of my head!!!

And you can still only shoot one at a time, maybe two if you are really good. Unless he is arming a small posse I am not sure why he would buy that many weapons. It may be good to know the "why" on the 50 weapon purchase.
You can change magazines, with a little practice about as fast as you can set one down and pick another up. It makes little sense why he bought so many and acted "alone".
One would think 50 applications to the Feds for weapons purchases might trigger an alarm unless he were a licensed dealer.
It also sounds like he fired about 1,100 rounds and still had another 4,000 rounds in his room. So north of 5,000 rounds of ammo, 50 rifles bought in a year and he was acting alone. Things that make you go Hmmm.
