The question I have is do the Ospreys have the same legs the C2's do? Certainly adds a lot of flexibility and safety factor, also enables Amphib Strike Groups to have the same personnel transfer capabilities as CVN strike groups.
Yeah those are not fun to ride in. The V-22 should at least be a better take off and landing.

There was a discussion about this last week. I was surprised that other than range (where the current USMC Osprey falls quite a bit short of the Greyhound) the MV-22 is actually pretty comparable to the Greyhound as far as carrying capacity.
Edit: I still think the better choice to replace the C-2 would have been to bring back the S-3 as the C-3.
