A better term than Deep State is Shadow Government.

The shadow government is an ideological network. These days it calls itself by a hashtag #Resistance. Under any name, it runs the country. Most of the time we don’t realize that. When things are normal, when there’s a Democrat in the White House or a bunch of Democrats in Congress, it’s business as usual."

This is a bunch of horses**t. There is no more a "shadow government" now than there was 20, 50, 100, or 150 years ago.

Methinks someone needs a dose of reality if they don't see the behind the scenes power plays that affect us daily. All tin foil will do is hold in the brain matter after the shot and keep it fresh for the worms.

There has always been individuals with strong influence on our government. Nothing new. But, I do not believe it is some semi-large organized group, acting in concert. Perhaps a few individuals get together and discuss how they would like the world to be, make appropriate donations, and voice their wishes, but not a large group, and not enough to cause any great sway one direction or the other. IMO, there are just as many on one side of the political spectrum as there are on the other.
I have a much greater fear of those who wish to tear down our government because they think it is too big.
