I don't know if this creed is still in use by USAF NCO's, but it's relevant for this idiot:
No one is more professional than I. I am a Noncommissioned Officer: a leader of people. I am proud of the Noncommissioned Officer corps and will, at all times, conduct myself so as to bring credit upon it. I will not use my grade or position to attain profit or safety.
So, what does this mean to me as an NCO? What this means is, I as an NCO will continually seek to better myself by going to my career schooling and absorbing what I learn from my senior NCO's, it means that I will lead to the best of my abilities and treat all soldiers with respect, courteousness and fairness.
Competence is my watchword. I will strive to remain tactically and technically proficient. I will always be aware of my role as a Noncommissioned Officer. I will fulfill my responsibilities and display professionalism at all times. I will strive to know my people and use their skills to the maximum degree possible. I will always place their needs above my own and will communicate with my supervisor and my people and never leave them uninformed
So, what does this mean to me as an NCO? It means that I will do my best to be proficient in my assigned jobs and learn from past tasks, it means that I will stay cognizant of my role as an NCO and fulfill my duties to the best of my abilities and take pride in what I do, no matter how others portray my accomplishments. It means that I know my soldiers and know how to use them in a manner that promotes the units needs. It means that I will take care of my soldiers fairly and mentor them to become better soldiers and would not ask them to do something I wouldn't do or have not done before. It means to me that I will keep my soldiers and senior NCO'S informed and they will keep me informed of changes and any information that pertains to me.
I will exert every effort and risk any ridicule to successfully accomplish my assigned duties. I will not look at a person and see any race, creed, color, religion, sex, age, or national origin, for I will only see the person; nor will I ever show prejudice or bias. I will lead by example and will resort to disciplinary action only when necessary.
SO, what does this mean to me as an NCO? It mean I will take pride in my assigned duties and accomplish them to the best of my abilities. It means to me that I see that person not by race, creed, color, religion, sex, age, or origin but as an individual. It means I will treat all soldiers fairly, equally without malice or without bias. It means to me that I will lead by example and only resort to disciplinary action when appropriate It means to me that I will also give positive counseling when soldiers go above their responsibilities.
I will carry out the orders of my superiors to the best of ability and will always obey the decisions of my superiors. I will give all officers my maximum support to ensure mission accomplishments. I will earn their respect, obey their orders, and establish a high degree of integrity with them. I will exercise initiative in the absence of orders and will make decisive and accurate decisions. I will never compromise my integrity, nor my moral courage. I will not forget that I am a Professional, a Leader, but above all a Noncommissioned Officer.

You know I have heard this repeatedly from other minorities and quite frankly as well from some white folks. I have never had an issue with African-American Females as coworkers at the same level as me or as employees (subordinates). Both cases they were easy to deal with and respectful. So I don't get this? Is it racism between overseas cultures? Clash of cultures? Treat someone with respect they will return the favor........I've found. Skin color does not make a difference.

I'm black and have seen/gone through this, but at no time did the thought of taping it, and posting it come through my mind. I always say I was far from the "model Soldier", but ALL of her ills would've been solved through the use of the AF's LOC/LOR's. Many say a counseling form is useless, but it all honesty when done right and followed up on, they're damn effective. I KNOW firsthand. It seemed to me, either she was too lazy to do one or the other, or figured this rant wouldn't get the attention it has. Unfortunately this will be used as a learning tool on her, and a learning tool for others. Don't see how she could recover from it. It will be interesting to see if she can.

A1C Doug Towsley - I live in VA and on 95 heading towards Fredericksburg, there is a HUGE conferate flag you can see easily from the highway. Some local counsel actually wanted to make the man take it down. Now I'm no fan of the flag, but it was on his land and I felt it should stay. Does that embolden others? Maybe, but it's his right. Don't have to like it, but I damn sure support it. Racism from all sides isn't going away anytime soon, and I doubt it ever will. But as far as that man and his flag goes, I'd rather live next to him knowing how he feels openly than have a "friend" who swears in my face we're equals and goes behind my back and calls me and other minorities to include women every negative name in the book.
Someone HAS to be held down. Who will it be is the question of the we don't know.

A1C Doug Towsley - DAMN MAN!!! Wow after reading this mess. "Christian told the evaluator he deliberately espouses beliefs he knows will disturb his audience but asserted no "white supremacy'' views during his 12 hours with the psychologist over four sessions, according to Cunningham's report"....talk about trying to avoid a federal hate crime charge. That was all I was seeing while reading this. He clearly stated everything needed IMO (no lawyer here) to get that ball rolling, and would like to see the eventual outcome of this case.
Worried about 15,000 comics are you? I think and hope that will be the LEAST of your worries in the upcoming future. Solitary was used in the first go round for eight years, might want to see about reserving a bed now for the foreseeable future.
To be honest, no matter who or what you are or want to be, there is no room for that in todays society. Are we always going to make racist and sexist jokes? Yes and we're all guilty to include me. But when you get to the business end of things, color, sex, sexual orientation, and religion shouldn't mean a thing. The problem is that is does. Someone WILL have to be held down to make another feel important. It's the flavor of the weak.

A1C Doug Towsley - If ONLY you could see my face reading this.... I never get too excited over the levels of stupidity folks use to justify their actions, but to get off the bus, grab a weapon to shoot back at the bus is almost on a new level of potato. Now to hear someone actually forgive his friend for shooting him takes courage. THAT is something lacking across the board. Not sure if I'm strong enough to do that personally.
