Well this will be easy with me since all of my vehicles have custom plates so I can remember them. Big Brother at it's finest. If one of my cars are stolen (I would be pissed), I'll just call ICE instead of my local police. Lets see how this works out.

1984 was not an instruction manual.

It's unfortunate this is where we are going

It was an eye-opening movie, though - at least the one made in 1984. Did you watch one or read it?

Law abiding citizens have nothing to worry about these LPR's. The database assist LEO's nationwide in locating multiple types of offenders. ILLEGALLY entering this nation is a crime and should be prosecuted. The buyers, the sellers, and the doers should all be held responsible. I like the plan. If you are a criminal or have violated any law, turn yourself in or wait to be caught. Cat and mouse from the old days to now, just different technology.

CPT (Join to see) - stop and frisk reduced crime stats in areas and was welcomed by people who lived in impoverished communities to keep the hood rats away. When it ended, the rats returned.

1SG (Join to see) it did, correct. However, like many others, I'm more concerned about 1984 becoming more of a reality every day. With these things already in place, what happens when the laws turn against civil liberties and the "law abiding" citizen? It seems like a gross violation of the 4th amendment to me

CPT (Join to see) - No more than the information you provide IOT possess a driver's license. The LPR will only show if you have a warrant, suspend/expired/revoked registration, suspended/expired/revoked license. It actually shows the officer who he is approaching so he can go home to his family at the end of his shift

1SG (Join to see) I'm all about LE safety and I feel like the war on LE is terrible. Ultimately, I'm concerned about the capabilities of the technology. All I'm asking is what happens when the rules change and new information is added to said database? Should LE be able to conduct their duties as safely as possible? Absolutely! I just still want citizens to be secure in their person and property.
