He did "stupid" and served his time. Others have done "criminal" ... and haven't. I'm glad he got the pardon. Another one in the "plus" column for Trump IMV.

One of my police officer friends told me once
“not all offenders are criminals but all criminals are offenders“

Clearly this was a dumb idea that for sure felt like a good idea at the time he was wrong in my opinion punished much more severely than should’ve been but what’s done is done

Bullshit he shouldn't. Nuclear "A" and power schools, and prototype, all very specifically teach about this and the importance of not doing it. He knew exactly what he was doing and did it anyway. He should serve his full sentence and not receive a pardon. The only reason he got one was he invoked Hillary Clinton, who had nothing to do with the situation, and the POTUS wanted to make a dig at his former opponent. This is stupid.

Because it was the reactor plant. If you know what it looks like, the size, and how it’s set up you can figure out pretty quickly its power output and sound profile. If you’d like enemies knowing our submarine cruising power and what their specific sound signatures are, go ahead and take photos of their reactor plants.

1LT Sandy Annala - Not a full Pardon IMO. He was found guilty of violating what he knew to be at least "Confidential" or higher security areas. A pardon means he was never convicted and there is no record! Not right in this Sailors view. If you commit the crime there should be a punishment that stays! Even with Manning, her sentence was commuted and not pardoned!

Agreed. He was misserved in the first place by the way it was handled.
I don’t know that it matters greatly but Trump should probably have kept his fingers clear of any of it.
It does stink of political posturing.
