Have you been "California Dreaming"? I hope not. It's a real nightmare these days. And if you doubt this, I worked at two major auto manufacturers during the early 2000s, Toyota and Nissan. Both got the hell out. Toyota went to Texas after building a massive (expensive) new campus in Torrance, CA (I was among the first to move into it) and they abandoned it just a few years ago. It was more economical than hanging around and paying CA taxes. Nissan moved to Tennessee, also abandoning expensive facilities.
